Beebe Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and visionary Nursing Director of Cardiac and Perianesthesia Services to lead a high-impact portfolio of departments including Same Day Surgery (SDS), Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), and Invasive, Non-Invasive Cardiology and Cardiopulmonary Rehab.

Responsibilities
Leadership and Supervision
Lead and supervise nurse managers for Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiology, PACU, SDS and PAT within Beebe Healthcare.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care in the Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiology, PACU, SDS and PAT services.
Provide ongoing mentorship, education, and professional development opportunities for staff.
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment to enhance staff morale and retention.
Operations Management
Oversee daily operations of Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiology, Same Day Surgery, PACU, and PAT, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure optimal efficiency.
Collaborate with surgical teams and other departments to ensure timely and seamless patient flow from pre-admission through recovery.
Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and supplies, ensuring all equipment meets safety standards.
Quality and Safety:
Maintain high standards for patient safety and quality of care by implementing evidence-based practices and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., AORN, OSHA).
Monitor patient outcomes, review patient safety incidents, and implement corrective actions or process improvements as necessary.
Perform regular audits and assessments of practices to identify opportunities for improvement in patient care, efficiency, and safety.
Financial Oversight:
Manage departmental budgets, ensuring financial resources are used effectively and within budgetary constraints.
Monitor and report on key financial indicators, such as staffing costs, equipment expenditures, and supply utilization.
Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising patient care or operational efficiency.
Staffing and Development:
Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage recruitment, hiring, and retention of nursing staff.
Lead staff evaluations, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions, as needed.
Promote continuous learning and development, including opportunities for certifications, specialized training, and advanced nursing education.
Collaboration and Communication:
Serve as a liaison between Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiology, Same Day Surgery, PACU, PAT, other departments, and leadership to address issues, share information, and enhance interdisciplinary collaboration.
Provide regular reports to senior leadership regarding departmental performance, quality metrics, and staffing.
Participate in hospital committees related to patient care, safety, and operational improvement.

5 years of cardiac experience
3-5 years of leadership experience preferably at director level
Credentials
Essential: * RN - Registered Nurse * BLS - American Heart Association Basic Life Saving Nonessential: * Specialty Certification

Essential: * Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Magnet Recognition) Nonessential: * Master of Science in Nursing

With a mission to serve the community, Beebe also offers many free screenings and outreach programs through its Population Health Department; and advanced medical care for those who are recuperating at home through Beebe Home Care Services.
Beebe is also training the next generation of nurses through the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing, located behind the Medical Cente...r in Lewes.
Beebe's Medical Staff has grown tremendously since the early 1990s. Employed physicians through Beebe Medical Group and our affiliated physicians on Beebe's Medical Staff now serve patients from Milford to Millville in specialties including cardiac surgery, dermatology, endocrinology, family practice, gastroenterology, general surgery, internal medicine, pediatric neurology, and surgical oncology.
