The Financial Analyst II serves as the key financial resource. Provides financial analysis required to support the goals and objectives of Baylor Health Care system (BHCS).
Prepares physician compensation modelling and ad-hoc reporting
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
PROVIDES FINANCIAL ANALYSIS SUPPORT to administrators, department directors, and others as directed or required, to assist in the efficient and cost-effective operation of Baylor Scott & White (BSW).
Assists in the administration of physician and advanced practice provider (APP) compensation and related reporting, documentation, and analysis.
Works on compensation projects; Provides advice and guidance to stakeholders regarding structures, models and processes.
Ensures provider compensation models and practices are well understood, market competitive, compliant with applicable state and federal laws and regulations, and aligned with BSWH physician compensation philosophy and with strategic objectives.
WORKS COLLABORATIVELY WITH VARIOUS TEAMS and may serve as a liaison with Information Technology as needed.
Advises various levels of management on effective use of Physician Compensation program.
Ensures that Access queries are monitored and maintained.
Reviews market data reports and compiles market blended analysis.
Highlights performance issues, identifies problems, and researches solutions and makes recommendations to management for continuous improvement.
COORDINATES, EXAMINES, INVESTIGATES, AND ADVISES SENIOR MANAGEMENT ON DEPARTMENTAL/DIVIONSAL/INSTITUTIONAL FUNANCIAL VARIANCE REPORTS.
Studies financial results and provides management with reports as required.
Coordinates and investigates opportunities for improvement.
Strives to meet deadlines on special projects and studies as assigned.
PREPARES, MANAGES AND EXAMINES FINANCIAL INFORMATION RELATED TO THE END OF MONTH CLOSE CYCLE.
Reviews month end data after close cycle for completeness.
Examines complex financial information to ensure financial reports have a high degree of integrity.
Evaluates month end process and recommends processes for improvement.
PERFORMS OTHER POSITION APPROPRIATE DUITES AS REQUIRED IN A COMPETENT, PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS MANNER.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
High proficiency with MS Office Applications
Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
VBA/Macro experience preferred but not required.
Independently drives and completes the projects with minimal supervision.
Must be highly organized, accurate, and professional with excellent customer service ability.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills with all levels of personnel.
High level of objectivity and interpersonal skills.
