Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Physician & Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) Recruiting to lead our recruitment team. This role is critical in ensuring that our healthcare organization attracts, hires, and retains top-tier physicians and APCs, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other advanced practice roles. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of healthcare recruitment, and a strategic mindset to drive the talent acquisition process.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy:
Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract high-quality physicians and APCs.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of recruiters, an onboarding coordinator, and recruitment coordinator, providing guidance and support to ensure recruitment goals are met.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align recruitment strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
Recruitment Process Management:
Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle, from job posting and candidate sourcing to interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
Ensure a positive candidate experience through efficient and effective recruitment practices.
Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor and improve recruitment processes, including time-to-fill metrics, candidate quality, and cost-per-hire.
Sourcing & Outreach:
Build and maintain relationships with medical schools, residency programs, professional associations, and other key sources of physician and APC talent.
Develop and execute targeted outreach campaigns to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
Provide representation of the organization at recruitment events, conferences, community events and job fairs.
Compliance & Best Practices:
Ensure all recruitment activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in healthcare recruitment.
Implement and maintain best practices in recruitment to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with department heads, hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment plans.
Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on recruitment progress and challenges.
Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the recruitment team, the system Talent Acquisition team, the Physician and APC Compensation Consultant and across the organization.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in physician and APC recruitment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully recruiting and retaining physicians and APCs in a healthcare setting.
Strong understanding of healthcare industry trends, physician/APC workforce challenges, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment technologies.
Ability to travel as needed for recruitment events and meetings.

Founded in 1916 by two physician brothers, Drs. James Beebe and Richard C. Beebe, the medical center in Lewes is a 210-licensed-bed, not-for-profit seaside community hospital. Beebe's specialized service lines include cardiac and vascular, surgical services, oncology, women's health, and orthopaedic services.
