Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Leads the design and implementation of BI solutions to support organizational decision-making.
2. Drives the development of advanced BI platforms and data products using complex analytic tools and concepts.
3. Collaborates with stakeholders to translate complex business needs into scalable BI solutions.
4. Optimizes system performance and reliability using notebooks, pipelines, and data flows.
5. Aligns development initiatives with organizational and departmental strategies, employing best practices and emerging trends.
6. Implements and champions advanced data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization techniques.
7. Ensures data integrity and system performance by overseeing data integration from multiple sources.
8. Serves as an escalation point for technical issues, providing solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
9. Utilizes healthcare data analytics tools to deliver actionable insights and reports (preferred).
10. Enforces data governance policies, security protocols, and compliance requirements.
11. Applies DevOps practices for code source control, testing, and deployment.
12. Keeps current with BI technologies, evaluating new solutions to enhance capabilities.
13. Communicates effectively with diverse stakeholders, translating technical concepts into actionable insights.
14. Mentors junior team members, fostering professional growth and skill development.
Technical Expertise:
1. Proficient with BI platforms and architectures, including data virtualization and data mesh.
2. Strong understanding of data modeling techniques and modern data architectures (lakehouse/warehouse, medallion).
3. Experienced in ETL processes, data integration, and data flows using notebooks and pipelines.
4. Familiar with cloud-based BI platforms and services.
5. Skilled in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
6. Knowledgeable in data security protocols and compliance requirements.
7. Adept at optimizing BI systems for performance and scalability.
8. Experienced in code source control and management using DevOps practices.
9. Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
10. Knowledgeable in healthcare data analytics (preferred).
Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field required (master's preferred).
2. Years of relevant experience: Minimum of five years of hands-on BI development experience.
3. Proven experience integrating and processing data from multiple sources.
4. Healthcare data analytics experience (preferred).
