Overview: The Director of the MPH program, in collaboration with the University's other health and professions schools and the Institute for Global Public Health, will be responsible for developing the organizational structure, recruiting faculty and staff, overseeing curriculum development, and directing the process leading to Council on Education for Public Health accreditation. The Director will have the academic and administrative leadership skills to develop, implement, and administer the program. The MPH program will reside within the Frank K. Netter School of Medicine's Institute for Global Public Health, and report to the Institute's leadership. The Institute for Global Public Health brings together many of the public health and international initiatives within Quinnipiac University.

Responsibilities:
Preparation of the applications for Quinnipiac University and CEPH approval and accreditation
Recruitment of faculty and staff
Development of curriculum in the concentration areas of the MPH
Liaise with University leadership, and CEPH representatives
Develop and oversee the budget for the MPH program
Collaborate with other Schools, Departments and programs of Quinnipiac as needed to achieve the goals of the MPH, including the awarding of joint degrees
Contribute to developing on-line public health education
Strategic oversight of public health education
Collaboration and engagement with community, regional and international partners for global public health education
Faculty development
Meet ongoing CEPH accreditation requirements
Education Requirements:
Doctoral degree in Public Health, Social and behavioral health, Biostatistics, Environmental health,
Epidemiology, Medicine, Health policy and management required
Master's in Public Health preferred
Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in academic leadership, preferably within an MPH program or other public health educational setting
Experience with Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) accreditation processes, including application preparation, compliance, and ongoing maintenance
Proven track record of curriculum development and program evaluation in public health education, including online education modalities
Experience in faculty recruitment, development, and management within higher education
Experience in budget development and financial oversight of academic programs
Demonstrated success in collaborative work across various departments, schools, and external partners
Experience with strategic planning and oversight in public health education or related fields
Strong leadership and administrative skills, with a proven ability to develop, implement, and manage a complex academic program.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with university leadership, faculty, staff, students, and external partners
Commitment to community engagement and the development of partnerships that enhance global public health education.
