The role you’ll contribute:
The Inventory Demand Planner position is responsible for the development of the inventory forecast to support medical/surgical products to the CFD-South Region. They must fully understand the flow of operations for all functional processes between PeopleSoft and TECSYS. The Inventory Demand Planner will be responsible for the management of inventory levels, demand planning, and scheduling of inventory products from manufacturers. The responsibilities of this position involve supporting all aspects of the product volume forecasting, inventory allocations, new product conversions introductions, contract portfolio conversions and assisting the integration into the DC. Will work collaboratively in reviewing and resolving forecast exceptions and ensuring the inventory strategies are appropriately implemented and maintained in the Demand Management System. A significant level of autonomy exists, and judgment must be exercised daily to maintain a sufficient level of inventory to meet unplanned demand ensuring patient care is not impacted.Routinely measure and maintain the overall effectiveness of the planning and scheduling across all DISCs.

Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
·Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or other analytical discipline, OR
·Three to five years relevant/equivalent experience
·Ability to handle a high-volume workload in an organized manner under stressful situations and deadlines
·Computer skills, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access), Warehouse Management Systems and ERP Systems.
·Strong understanding of components and data flow for simple to highly complex systems
·Proficient in inventory management and forecasting, thorough knowledge of all tools, processes, methodologies, and standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
·APICS certification highly preferred.
·Previous experience with demand/sales forecasting using various forecasting software required, inventory control methods and Economic Order Quantity models
·Working knowledge of inventory control methods and Economic Order Quantity models.
·TECSYS WMS/DMS/DM experience

Reviews and sets optimal inventory levels using system generated demand plans and EOQ tools.
Periodically reviews forecasted demand for assigned product categories with relevant materials management and clinical user groups; and adjusts forecasted demand to forecasted patient census.
Reviews and approves system generated replenishment orders.
Reschedules, expedites and cancels purchase orders in the system as needed to maintain accurate performance reports.
Provide supplier performance feedback as necessary and respond to routine supplier performance surveys
Communicates any identifiable or potential supply or quality issues or supplier concerns that may impact the quality of customer operations and patient care, or the integrity of supplier data.
Processes material returns and coordinates refund activities with other CSC internal departments and supplier.
Maintenance of relevant data into the TECSYS inventory management and procurement applications.
Manage all needed changes as per the appropriate change control procedures.
Resolve, when necessary, any accounts payable, supply quality issue, receiving discrepancies and shipping problems that may arise in the areas of responsibility.
Maintains assigned performance measurements, records, and reports in the system updated.
·Must be able to work under minimal direct supervision and be willing to take initiative to resolve problems and to help revise and upgrade processes.
·Working knowledge of domestic transportation commercial terms.
·Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
·Responsible for planning and forecasting of medical surgical inventory levels based on historical trends, reoccurring buys, seasonal forecasts, purchase trends, and current inventory levels.Responsible for the most complex inventory assignments for a broad scope of product and vendors, as well as leadership functions.
·Reviews and sets optimal inventory levels using demand planning system generated demand plans and Economic Order Quantity tools. Review forecasted demand with relevant management and make appropriate adjustments as dictated by forecast accuracy. Develop strategies to maximize opportunities and mitigate risk.
·Responsible to control freight and obsolescence expenses while increasing on time delivery performance and overall level of Customer Satisfaction.
·Analyze, identify, and implement opportunities for improvements to the forecasting process to achieve specific service level and inventory productivity goals. Establish business rules for customer demand in collaboration with manufacturer partners regarding product seasonality, product knowledge and utilization strategies.
·Share insights, challenge assumptions, and identify drivers of forecast variance with appropriate Management.
·Develop customer specific allocation strategies by vendor/product lines in coordination with the Warehouse Operations Director, 3PL planning and delivery schedules of manufacturers.
·Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance (i.e. Fill Rates). Provide supplier performance feedback as necessary and respond to routine supplier performance surveys.
·Provide feedback and data to support Supplier partnership meetings; review supplier scorecard and identify quality and service issues. Assists in resolution to vendor supply chain issues.
·Monitor and review information from materials, events, or the environment, that will assist in assessing situations that may cause an interruption in supply and taking preventive measures to assure a continuity of supply (natural disasters; worker strikers, Manufacturer Plant closures; etc.)
·May periodically review forecasted demand for assigned product categories/vendors with relevant materials management and clinical user groups; and adjust forecasted demand to forecasted patient census.
Reviews, analyzes and works applicable reports to ensure high service levels and timely, accurate inventory delivery from vendors.
Provide supplier performance feedback as necessary and respond to routine supplier performance surveys.
Prepares and updates daily Backorder report to be provided to Customer Service, customers and others as requested.
Manage all needed changes as per the appropriate change control procedures.
Maintains assigned performance measurements, records, and reports in the system updated.
Performs other duties as assigned or directed by the Regional Director of Distribution Center
