The posted salary range represents the minimum to the midpoint within RVU's compensation plan. RVU's full compensation structure provides a minimum to a maximum range. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.
RVU offers paid vacation, sick days, personal days, 13 ½ paid holidays and 401(K) match up to 7% based on employee's contribution.

Primary PurposeThe main role of Principal Faculty in the Physician Assistant Program is to deliver curriculum content for the program. In addition, this position will serve as a student success facilitator, monitoring and guiding student progression across the program and working in collaboration with PA program faculty and RVU's Student Affairs department.
Essential Job FunctionsAdministrative : (30%)
- Develop, implement, and oversee a student success program in alignment with the program's mission and vision
- Develop, implement, and oversee student remediation plans designed to meet individual learner deficits and in collaboration with faculty course directors
- Refers students to appropriate academic personnel and support resources and collaborates with others to monitor and accelerate the academic progress of the students referred
- Track student access to institutional and program resources and monitor effectiveness of student success strategies
- Monitors progress of students in caseload and conducts academic coaching through individual or group sessions that are designed to help students assess their own performance and develop academic success plans
- Contribute to the Program's continuous process of self-assessment to ensure quality of the curriculum and program
Teaching: (15%)
- Develop and deliver lectures, laboratories, and small group interactive sessions through varied delivery methods
- Develop, implement, and score competency-based assessments
- Serve as a student success coach to PA students in support of and collaboration with faculty advisors to assist learners in achieving their academic goals
Service: (5%)
- Serve on PA program and University committees according to professional interest and assigned duties.
- Attend PA program faculty meetings, retreats, and accreditation-related activities.
- Participate in the PA Program's admissions process.
Scholarship :
- Engage in scholarship and faculty development including original research, publications, presentations, and workshop participation.

Minimum Qualifications - Current license (or eligibility) to practice in Colorado, if a clinician
- Relevant Master's degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications - Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Terminal degree for profession, and related to position (e.g. Master degree for PA, MD/DO for physician; PhD for scientist)
- Experience delivering curriculum content to PA students (clinical or didactic).
- Three or more years of higher education experience
- Experience in success coaching techniques and/or motivational interviewing strategies
