Full Time  1st Shift Remote - could change per business needs
The Manager of Treasury and Specialized Accounting is responsible for managing the tax reporting, grant reporting, research accounting and the Treasury Function for Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron.
Adds value as a key member of management understands the business, financials, industry, customers and strategy.
Supervises employees, provides direction, coaches, trains and develops employees, and manages performance to company goals and expectations.
Prepares, manages, and adheres to department budget to maintain expenditure controls.
Manages the completion of various tax returns [Form 990, 990-T, 5500s, etc.] and state and federal grant reports.
Manages the grant reporting function for the enterprise.
Manages the other research financial functions for the enterprise.
Reviews and applies Internal Revenue Code tax rules to ensure compliance with timely submitted applicable tax returns.
Manages the treasury needs of the organization, including short-term cash forecasting.
Other duties as required.
Experience in accounting is required.
Experience in business tax preparation...is required.
Experience in treasury management is preferred.
Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
Experience in healthcare is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Accounting software is required.
Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or is required. Master's degree is preferred.
Certification: CPA is preferred.
Years of relevant experience: Minimum of 5 is required.
Years of experience supervising: Minimum of 5 is required.
