Job Summary
Responsible for providing project leadership on Corporate Compliance Office initiatives, managing the Corporate Disclosure Program, and providing support to other compliance activities. Reporting includes the status of the annual compliance work plan, prospective monitoring trends, and open compliance issues. This position is to assess the significant risks and to develop strategies to mitigate those risks. Responsible for investigating reports of alleged non-compliance, as deemed necessary, to final resolution.
Job Duties
- Disclosure Program: Oversee the corporate concerns reporting systems.
- Maintain a reporting protocol for compliance concerns.
- Provide mentoring for organizational investigators on disclosure program expectations and protocols.
- Perform compliance interviews and investigate reports of alleged non-compliance to determine the validity, nature and scope of the report in conjunction with the designated organizational staff members.
- Assists in the development of Corrective Action Plans when areas of opportunity are identified.
- Monitors implementation and completion of Corrective Action Plans.
Training and Education: Researches, creates, designs, produces, evaluates and conducts both oral and written compliance related training for organizational workforce. - Works with the Human Resources Department and others as appropriate to develop effective compliance training programs, including appropriate introductory training for new employees, as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers.
- Examines, identifies, and develops compliance educational materials and communications for internal and external use and the vehicles needed to broadcast the information.
- Disseminates information and evaluates the effectiveness of communication tools.
- Compliance Committees: Facilitate the development of the annual Compliance Work Plan in support of Compliance Program objectives.
- Evaluate organizational exposure to risk on an annual basis and make recommendations for risk mitigation and audit coverage.
- Establish reporting protocols to organizational management.
- Prepare routine reports for organizational management and Board Committees as required including reports to the organizational Compliance Committees regarding progress in meeting annual objectives.
- Provide as-needed reports to management regarding trends or issues identified via the compliance reporting and monitoring functions.
- Policies and Procedures: Develops, maintains and revises standard organizational policies and procedures, as needed, to ensure the compliance and function are effectively and efficiently managed in conjunction with the Corporate Compliance Office.
- Updates Code of Conduct and organizational Compliance Office policies and procedures.
- Monitoring and Auditing: Tracks annual Audit Plan driven by organizational' s overall risk.
- Prepare annual compliance work plan for all organizational Compliance Committee and monitor project completion status to assure objectives are met.
- Corporate Ethics and Compliance Office: Monitors and/or manages assigned projects the department.
- Manages data coordination, analysis, input and maintenance of the organizational Compliance Office's software applications.
- Maintains documentation for assigned projects in accordance with documentation and destruction policies.
- Actively provides assistance in meeting Corporate Ethics and Compliance Office goals.
