The Vanderbilt Memory and Alzheimer's Center seeks qualified applicants for a Clinical Research Recruitment Manager. The manager will oversee all clinical research recruitment efforts, including planning, developing, and executing traditional and innovative strategies to recruit a diverse group of middle-aged and older adults for participation in the Center's research program.
The ideal candidate is a team leader who has clinical or community-based research experience, an understanding of the challenges of study recruitment and retention, advanced public health communication skills, and the ability to make effective decisions quickly. Proficiency in all Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is essential. Experience with Epic and REDCap are preferred. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills; self-discipline; exceptional attention to detail; be able to master responsibilities quickly and independently while working collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment; and understand cultural challenges to recruitment and retention. Prior experience working with older adults or with patients with neurological conditions is preferred but not required.

Oversees the creation, coordination, and execution of all participant recruitment responsibilities from initial contact to study enrollment, including overseeing the team of recruitment callers, evaluating recruitment progress, and implementing solutions as needed.
Schedules and oversees participant recruitment calls, assessment of study eligibility, study enrollment pitch, and hand-over to study program managers.
Oversee the Center's REDCap participant recruitment and tracking database, including developing metrics to evaluate recruitment efforts.
Develop and implement systems to evaluate the efficacy of the recruitment process.
When needed, create and coordinate innovative strategies to support and enhance recruitment efforts to meet the goals of the research program.
Manage program recruitment budgets and allocate recruitment staffing resources effectively.
Train and supervise recruitment team including staff and trainees who conduct the program's recruitment activities.
Serves as a resource to other research team members regarding participant recruitment, enrollment, and retention.
Listen and understand other team members' points of view. Consider suggestions from others. Create and support a climate of trust, openness, and honest communication. Exhibit cultural competence and cultural humility.
Continually assess and revise participant recruitment operating procedures and resources, including recruitment, scripts flyers, and brochures, to assure quality and compliance with human subjects protection.
Maintain excellent tracking and evaluation of participant recruitment interactions, staff scheduling and effort, and program recruitment strategies.
Evaluate recruitment activities and milestones using the Center's REDCap participant recruitment database, including providing updates to Center Leadership with table and figure summaries.
Problem solve independently when issues arise using institutional knowledge and research experience.
Develop and communicate team goals and provides leadership and input as needed to assure timely completion.
