WellSpan Health is seeking a strong leader with academic and clinical acumen to build a new, unopposed family medicine residency program based in the heart of central Pennsylvania.  This is a unique opportunity to build an innovative program from the ground-up with the backing of an integrated health system. The position will include leadership, administrative, teaching, scholarly, and patient care responsibilities, with authority and accountability for the overall program.

Position Highlights

• Successfully oversee the ACGME accreditation process, and ensure ongoing maintenance of certification and compliance with ACGME requirements
• Lead the interview, selection and ongoing mentoring and development of faculty physicians, residents, and staff
• Develop high-quality educational curriculum and experiential rotations per ACGME requirements

• Participate in Institutional Governance of Graduate Medical Education (GME)
• Liaison Roles within WellSpan– Clinical, Administrative, and Academic for scholarly pursuits
• 6 Administrative/ 0.4 Patient Care; OB not required for this role
• Must be board certified ABFM or AOBFM
• Minimum of 5 years as family medicine residency core faculty
• Minimum of 2 years as family medicine residency program director or associate program director or NIPDD or LEADS fellowship
