Your day.
As a Clinic Manager, you need to know how to:
â— Oversee the day to day activities within the Lafayette Spine Center & Brighton Orthopedic Clinic, including managing schedules, daily staffing and float coverage, patient access, continuity, clinic flow, reinforcing policies and procedures, patient safety and supervision of front line staff.
â— Collaborate with hospital care sites and physician leadership. Promote effective working relationships within the service line to facilitate achieving goals and objectives
â— Work directly with patients to address patient questions and concerns regarding care and billing, evaluate various resolutions and ensure patients receive satisfactory resolution
â— Create and oversee daily work schedules including management of daily staffing and float coverage. Oversee active schedule management to balance patient access, schedule, utilization, and continuity during hours of clinic operation. Manage prior authorization and referral processes
â— Lead clinic team in problem solving to address issues relating to patient safety, care and service. Promote effective working relationships and work effectively as part of the clinic team to facilitate meeting its goals and objectives. Assist in development of capital planning and operating budgets
â— Manage clinic teams on quality initiatives and managing quality metrics. Collaborate with the leadership team and physician leader to identify and drive quality and performance improvement initiatives. Drive and support associate engagement and patient experience outcomes
â— Manage Human Resource management functions including interviewing, selection, orientation, education/training, feedback, performance evaluation, and policy and procedure development. Maintains Kronos records for employees
â— Direct, oversee, and coordinate training of new employees. Build strong partnership with local clinic physician leadership
â— Take an active role in professional development of associates; developing leaders as appropriate â— Create a culture of patient safety including documentation and reporting of any PEARL event. Maintain audits for medication safety. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines, and licensure, compliance and accreditation requirements. Ensure compliance with established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards
â— Partner with physicians around panel management. Maintain records regarding patient linking, population health, and care gap closure
Your experience.

â— High School Diploma or equivalent, required; Bachelorâ™s Degree in healthcare or related field, preferred
â— Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory-level experience, required
â— Orthopedic or Surgical experience, strongly preferred
