Summary
Kaiser Permanente-Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Sr. HR Generalist to join our WPMG HR team at the KP/WPMG headquarters in Renton, Washington.
JOB SUMMARY |
The Sr. HR Generalist is a front-line member of the Human Resources team who provides guidance, assistance and support to management, supervisors, administrators. The primary responsibilities of this position include 1) partnering with the Senior Associate Medical Director in support of the WPMG Policy Workgroup by administering all aspects of the program, and by continuously improving the effectiveness of the workgroup's operating rhythm, 2) providing consultation to WPMG leaders and employees on wide range of HR topics, and specializing in the interpretation and application of company policies, 3) facilitating the deployment of annual compliance training and communications plan, and 4) identifying key operational topics and partner with key stakeholders in the development of operational policies and procedures. Special projects and additional support will be assigned as needed. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES | Responsibility | Description | Policy and Procedures | - Partner with sr. leaders and the WPMG Policy Workgroup to facilitate review of company policies
- Consult with legal counsel on policy updates
- Provide policy guidance and interpretation
- Maintain WPMG Policy & Guideline Library including tracking of revisions, updates, review cycle and appropriate vetting
- Assist with the creation and implementation of new operational policies and procedures to meet organizational requirements
| Compliance & Ethics | Lead the development and deployment of annual compliance training: - Track and monitor staff compliance
- Maintain organizational communications to ensure employees have knowledge of training events and resources
- Review training needs; modify or improve existing programs or develop new training programs to meet organizational needs.
- Track state and federal changes related to compliance and recommended best practices
- Develop trainings as needed
- Work in concert with KFHP/WPMG Compliance, KFHP/WPMG LMS and KP Learn to create one cohesive online learning environment
- Through collaboration with KP/WPMG Compliance, identify anticipated training needs based on legal and regulatory changes, and other factors.
- Work in concert with KFHP on compliance of mandatory vaccinations
- Track and monitor staff compliance
- Maintain organizational communications to ensure employees are aware of requirements and deadlines
- Identify and implement process improvements
| Privacy | - Coordinate and investigate privacy violations:
- Respond to privacy concerns and educates staff regarding violation
- Serve as the initial contact and liaison for privacy concerns; educates staff regarding violation
- Receive and document complaints concerning possible violation; escalate for further investigation as appropriate
- Partnership with the KP/WPMG privacy office
- Collaborate with KP/WPMG privacy office to identify and address privacy policies and procedures that require improvement
| Partnership | - Develop effective working relationships with clinical leadership and clinical operations managers to support business objectives:
- Work in partnership to implement department initiatives, policies, practices, and department work plans
- Partner with legal counsel as needed
- Work closely with Senior HR Business Partners; provide guidance on policies and procedures

- Ad hoc project management of periodic, long- or short-term assignments
