The role you’ll contribute:
The Paralegal performs a wide variety of duties relating to assisting in preparation of review of contracts and related documents in support of legal requirements and AdventHealth policies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Adheres to AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Communicates with attorneys and/or other internal or external stakeholders regarding status of legal negotiations and/or documents. Prepares and/or reviews drafts, memoranda, and/or documents prepared by and for organizational attorneys and internal stakeholders.
- Prepares and revises physician employment agreements and related documents.
- Prepares and revises AdventHealth Medical Group – East Florida leases and related documents.
- Reviews Federal and State regulations/statutes related to healthcare and federal contracting to assist with compliance to changes.
- Develops and maintains strategic relationships internal stakeholders.
- Prepares and submits contracts and associated documents to Adventhealth Compliance Department for review and approval.
- Evaluates contracts for opportunities to improve business terms and conditions.
- Assists in the completion of required transfer of ownership, assets, termination of vendor contracts, and coordination of communication to respective AdventHealth departments to close the existing physician practice.
- Assists with maintaining the electronic contract database and files and manages the contract workflow
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in health care, business administration, legal studies or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a healthcare management, paralegal or related experience
- Minimum of three (3) years’ of experience as a paralegal (Preferred)
