PRMO: Established in 2001, Patient Revenue Management Organization (PRMO) is a fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization supporting all of Duke Health, including Duke University Hospital, Duke Regional Hospital, Duke Raleigh Hospital, the Private Diagnostic Clinic, and Duke PrimaryCare. The PRMO focuses on streamlining the revenue cycle through enhanced management of scheduling, registration, coding, HIM operations, billing, collections, cash management, and customer service. The Patient Revenue Manager position is essential to the daily operations of the Duke Emergency Department as the position will provide direct oversight of 3 SAMs, 4 Team Lead, and over 30 FCCs in a 24/7, 365-day operation. This position oversees that all internal controls are monitored and followed as well as all regulatory and compliance-related processes related to registration. The manager will ensure the department budget is within margin, all BSC/KPI Metrics are at or above-established targets, including patient satisfaction, POS collections, decreasing registration denials, and work culture are at their highest rate possible.  

The Revenue Manager will participate in various meetings at the PRMO and collaborate with the HSA and Service Access Management team, as well as other management/leaders across DUHS on a consistent basis. They will monitor and track all assigned WQs and dashboards to ensure they are worked timely.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred.

Experience

Work requires 5 years of experience in business or other applicable experience. A master's degree in a related field, such as business or health administration, may be substituted for experience on a 1:1 basis.

Degrees, Licensures, Certifications

Certifications in patient access or patient accounting preferred.
