For more than 20 years, The Immigrant Health and Cancer Disparities (IHCD) Center has worked to identify and eliminate disparities in health and cancer treatment among immigrants and minorities. Our community-based programs provide a gateway to health education and services for immigrants and other medically underserved minorities in New York City and beyond. We also conduct groundbreaking, community-engaged research to address cancer disparities and socioeconomic determinants of health outcomes among underserved populations.

Working closely with Dr. Francesca Gany, IHCD Service Chief, you will be responsible for the research and project management across Dr. Gany's investigator-initiated trials within our Taxi Network Initiative, to address varying health concerns faced by NYC taxi drivers. Across IHCD, you will identify key areas of need and provide health education and other services, including access to healthcare, cancer screening services, and lifestyle change resources, to immigrants and medically underserved communities.

Bengali, French, or Spanish fluency (written and spoken) is required.

Initial hours: Monday through Friday, 9 AM 5PM. This position allows for a rotation of a hybrid remote (50%) and community-based sites/in-office (50%) schedule.

You will:

• Manage new and ongoing departmental projects and create processes to ensure that goals are met.
• Be a liaison with community partners and stake holders, fostering new community relationships to enhance recruitment strategies and community health care referral linkages.
• Coordinate outreach activities and oversee the flow of community participants recruited in the field.
• Create and maintain databases for programs.
• Conduct fidelity/protocol compliance audits and QA of databases.
• Generate reports to all necessary parties on the progress of projects, databases, or protocols.

You have:

• Master's degree in Public Health, Psychology, Sociology or relevant field with two years of clinical research experience is preferred.
• Experience and/or demonstrated interest in working in community based participatory research, and/or demonstrated interest in health disparities.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the regulations pertaining to human subject protection (including 21 CFR and 45 CFR 46 of the United States Code of Federal Regulations) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is critical.
• An ability and understanding on how to collect, analyze, interpret and prepare data for presentation (i.e., written, tabular and graphical formats).
