Des Moines University seeks a Senior Director of the Center for Educational Enhancement (CEE). The Senior Director will advance excellence in educational innovation and will support enhancement of the academic strengths of faculty and students, to include teaching, learning, assessment and evaluation, educational scholarship faculty development, continuing professional development programs and the overall authority for developing and delivering information management library services. CEE focus includes advancing new technologies, building on research and maximizing student outcomes. It enhances learning management platforms, content management, intellectual property and student/faculty/preceptors academic support and professional development. The position will create, manage, and sustain innovative and collaborative programs to support the continued quality improvement of DMU academic programs. The Senior Director will empower faculty, staff and students to strive for educational enhancement and academic success and will promote a culture of continued quality improvement, educational innovation in teaching and learning, and innovative curriculum design and delivery. This position develops, implements and assesses the effectiveness of comprehensive programming to support educational enhancement for various stakeholders and DMU constituents, and promotes educational innovation, scholarship and continued improvement. The position has supervisory responsibilities and requires extensive collaborative efforts in programmatic development and implementation, and is also responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing the unit’s collaborative work with the Educational Technology Specialist (ITS) and other campus resources in designing, implementing and sustaining the scope of functions and programming offered by the unit.
