Responsibilities

The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a full-time FOCUS Site Director to join the Families OverComing Under Stress (FOCUS) site in Hawaii. You will work closely with the local military base Point of Contact (POC) and FOCUS Headquarter to ensure that appropriate staff supervision, outreach, direct service delivery, local training, family tracking, and data collection is implemented in compliance with the FOCUS Model. Primary duties include:

Providing resiliency training to military family
Managing implementation of the FOCUS model at a designated military installation
Function as the lead service-delivery staff member
Supervises at least one Resiliency Trainer and Administrative Assistant

Qualifications

Master’s degree or doctoral degree in a mental health field with current clinical license.
United States Citizenship required.
Experience with manualized family and child intervention, clinical services, treatment, and/or social skills programs
Experience in providing direct therapeutic and/or intervention services to at-risk and/or high-risk families
Experience, high comfort level, and/or good working knowledge of military culture and military family experience
Strong written, verbal, facilitation and training skills
Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
Willingness to learn new computer-based systems for worksite management
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Power Point
Demonstrated experience with strategic planning and policy/procedure development
Previous management and supervisory experience in context of direct services provision
Demonstrated experience working with community-based mental health agencies
Demonstrated experience working in a multi-site and multi-disciplinary setting
Willingness to undertake limited travel as needed
Familiarity with web-based assessment collection, tracking systems, collaborative workgroup and reporting tools, including Survey Gizmo, SalesForce, Access, and SharePoint is highly desirable
Must have valid driver’s license, auto insurance and access to an automobile.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Ability to follow University Policy and Procedures.
