Manager of Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) - Sign On-Bonus Baystate Health (BH), western Massachusetts’s premier healthcare provider and home to the University of Massachusetts Medical School – Baystate is seeking an Manager of Human Research Protection Programwith the ability to work remotely to join our Research Administration team at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. Our research administrative team help researchers conduct research responsibly and ethically. Baystate Health research centers leverage our expertise in population health, clinical effectiveness and outcomes research to focus on making health care more effective and efficient. Summary: The Manager of Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) assumes a critical role in the research enterprise at Baystate Health (BH). The primary responsibility is to ensure that all human subject research conducted under its auspices is carried out in such a manner that the rights and welfare of participants in research studies are protected and that Baystate Health complies with institutional, state and local, and federal regulations. Specific responsibilities will include reporting to and working with the Director of Healthcare Research Compliance/Chief Research Compliance Officer overseeing the daily operations of the BH Institutional Review Board (IRB) office and serves as a liaison between the board and the research team. Management and supervision of staff assigned to provide administrative and regulatory support to the IRB and the HRPP staff responsible for Education and Compliance in the Human Research Protection arm, ensuring efficient and high quality performance.
