Coordinates the implementation of system enhancements/major ring releases. Performs feasibility studies and cost analysis of system changes; evaluates software . Leads team in evaluation and assessment of appropriate and effective IT solutions, documenting alternatives and recommendations with justification. Guides and helps oversee user documentation development and updating. Assists in the coordination and provision of user training and ongoing support. Develops and updates policies and procedures governing information technology systems for the facility. |
Responsible for meeting the needs of the facility through planning, implementing, testing and supporting computer programs and computer-based information systems. |
Demonstrates knowledge of current software systems, operation procedures and technological developments. |
Works closely with project managers and Management to provide appropriate resources for defined projects, to meet project milestones and deliverables, and provide other project assistance when necessary. Ensures staff track time spent on tasks related to projects. |
Consistently demonstrates the ability to establish appropriate department priorities. |
Establishes and maintains close working relationship with IT Service Desk and other Analysts to ensure appropriate escalation of issues and follow up to reported problems. |
Ensures that accurate estimates for requested work are prepared in timely manner. Helps Manager evaluates staff performance and coaches team to improve accuracy when appropriate. |
Collects and synthesizes staff status reports, highlighting areas of concern for management follow up. |
Assist in ensuring that status reports and metrics on team performance are maintained and presented. |
Understands and promotes regulatory and security compliance as well as adherence to departmental and Benefis practice standards and processes, including problem escalation, change control, project methodology, etc. |
